Artist Membership

Artists, musicians, and crafters living in or near Madison County, Tennessee, are welcome and encouraged to apply to be Artist Members of the Jackson Arts Council.

 

The Jackson Arts Council aims to be a hub of resources for local arts organizations and artists. The primary goal for the new Artist Membership is to connect the community to the many working artists living in or near Madison County.

 

Artists in any of the following categories are encouraged to apply for membership: basketry, clay, sculpture, stonework, drawing, fiber/textile, film/video, furniture, glass, graphic arts, jewelry, leather, literary arts, instrumental music, vocal music, metal, painting, performing arts (non-music), photography, printmaking/paper, woodwork.

 

Artist Members of the Jackson Arts Council receive the following benefits:

  • Invitation to the Arts Coalition - a group of local artists and arts leaders who are invited to networking events and receive regular updates about funding and professional development opportunities specifically for artists/arts organizations

  • Name and information listed on the Jackson Arts Council website under "Directory"

  • Invitations to participate in Arts Backstage for free

  • Invitations to participate in monthly Arts Council popup events beginning in March 2023

  • Information about local exhibition/gig opportunities

  • Promotion via the Jackson Arts Council's social media and email platforms

Membership dues are $40/year or pay what you can. No artist will be denied membership based on their ability to pay membership dues.
