Jackson Arts Council Awards JAC Grants

The Jackson Arts Council announces awards for Jackson Arts Council (JAC) Grant Program. A citizens’ panel reviewed and rated grant applications based on several criteria and met with organization representatives applying for the open grant opportunities.

JAC Grants totaling $17,974 have been awarded to nonprofit organizations and educational institutions in Madison County for quality arts projects. JAC Grant recipients this year include:

·       Jackson Madison County School System

·       Sacred Heart of Jesus High School

·       Lane College

·       Ballet Arts Inc. of Jackson

·       Jackson Symphony Association

·       The Jackson Theatre Guild, Inc.

·      Jackson Choral Society

The Jackson Arts Council will also facilitate the distribution of Arts Build Communities grants through the Tennessee Arts Commission this year, distributing an additional $21,650 for arts projects in the Southwest District of Tennessee.
